Fayaz Mother Claims Her Son and Neha Hiremath Were in Love, Demands Severe Punishment for Him
In Dharwad, the mother of accused Fayaz, who brutally killed Neha Hiremath at BVB College in Hubballi, claimed that her son and Neha were in love, contrary to Neha’s father’s statement that she was not involved in love and was a home-loving girl.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Fayaz’s mother, Mumtaz, asserted their love and condemned her son’s actions, demanding severe punishment according to the law. She stated that Neha herself had taken Fayaz’s number when he became University Blue in a bodybuilding competition and initiated contact. Mumtaz also disclosed that Fayaz had confided in her about this a few months ago, and she had advised him to focus on his studies.
Expressing remorse, Mumtaz conveyed her aspirations for Fayaz to pursue a career as an IAS officer due to his academic brilliance. She pleaded for forgiveness from the people of Karnataka and Neha’s parents, acknowledging Neha as her own daughter and expressing deep sorrow over her loss.
